Will Sport Central require any fees from non-members recruited to play on its City Doubles League teams?
Sport Central has confirmed that Sport Central team members from other clubs will not be required to pay any guest/drop-in fees on league nights. However, if they wish to get some practice in, a guest/drop-in fee will be required. To facilitate practice sessions, Sport Central is offering City Doubles League team members, from other clubs, a punch card (6 sessions) for the club member rate of $30 (+ applicable taxes). Once team members are established we will provide Sport Central with a team list, which will be used to confirm eligibility for the reduced rate.
Do lady players have to play in the Ladies Only group this season?
Based on our interpretation of the league format, we believe lady players can play in any division for which their level of play qualifies them -- Group I through Group III.
We have asked the league for clarification. (2006-07-28)
Lynn Broman, on behalf of the league, has confirmed that Groups I through III are open (ladies and men). And, of course, that the Ladies Only group is just that.
